Prokom’s Global Conference 2018 Attracts Unprecedented Interest

Prokom, Konica Minolta’s user community for production print providers, has today announced its second global conference in Budapest, Hungary, June 6 and 7, is already oversubscribed with more than 250 participants confirmed.


This year’s conference will also host an informal KM-1 user group on the evening of the first day. Dubbed the “Swiss Army” knife of the printing industry because it has so many uses, the Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 can easily be integrated into offset and digital environments with productivity of up to 3,000 sheets per hour simplex on a range of media.

Highlights at this year’s conference include Kevin Gaskell giving his view on ‘The path to extraordinary performance’. Kevin, who has worked with iconic brands, such as Porsche, BMW and Lamborghini, believes that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary results. Francois Martin, a Senior Graphic Industry Consultant and Digital Print Evangelist who spent 12 years with HP, will detail how attendees can ensure they are ‘Taking advantage of today’s changing world of print’. Also presenting are Marco Boer, Vice President of I.T. Strategies, who has more than 25 years’ experience advising and guiding senior executives of Fortune 1000 and smaller innovative companies in emerging digital printing markets and Miles Hilton-Barber whose undertaking of extreme endurance events has inspired both his business and personal lives.

Prokom offers membership to any Konica Minolta user of production printing equipment. It has also launched a new website, www.prokom.org, following consultation with members, which is available in four languages – English, French, German and Spanish. In response to feedback received the site that hosts e-learning courses, self-help videos, forums, expert content, market research as well as webinars, newsletters and local events, has enhanced its member focus. It now delivers new module tools and more in-depth knowledge on hot topics with a different agenda every month.
