At CeBIT 2017, Konica Minolta Business Solutions announced its strategies to become a leading global IT Services provider, with the target of achieving an annual turnover of 465 million Euros by 2020 in ECM (Enterprise Content Management), Managed Services, IT Security and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). The company has undergone a significant transformation since 2012, which includes the acquisition of companies such as Serians (France) and Raber + Märcker (Germany) as well as the development of partnerships with major player in the IT field such as Microsoft, Dell, Sage, Citrix, and HPE. As a further step in these strategies, Konica Minolta Business Solutions announced its acquisition of Groupe Numerial, a company acquired by its French subsidiary on 8 November 2017.
Strengthening ECM expertise for mid-market companies and larger corporations
Konica Minolta has been offering companies support with their project optimisation and digitisation as well as securing their document flows for some years now. By pooling its resources and skills with those of Numerial, Konica Minolta intends to become a key player in the Enterprise Content Management market for mid-market companies and larger corporations.
The Group can now rely on the expertise of this company recognised for its expertise in integration, development and engineering of information management and document solutions.
Ruggero Pizzo, Chief Executive Officer of Numerial Group, will head the Managed Content Services Division, as part of Konica Minolta Business Solutions France's IT Services Division, which will have more than 40 pre-sales engineers, ECM technical consultants, support staff and independent management technicians. Business monitoring will be provided by the 250 Konica Minolta sales representatives and the Konica Minolta dealer network throughout France.
The objective is to increase turnover by 20 million euros, by 2020-2021, through the integration of ECM solutions and services.
Through this acquisition, Konica Minolta Group will continue to achieve its goals of being a must-have IT service provider in Europe, while further consolidating its presence in other IT markets.
