Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe (Konica Minolta) has been awarded the rare and excellent rating of five stars (out of a possible five) in recent DataMaster Lab tests. A total of three multifunction printers – the A3 bizhub C458, C558 and C658 – were honoured for their exceptional quality, productivity and valuable features that help to improve the entire workflow.
Rare and excellent ratings
The A3 bizhub C458, C558 and C658 were commended for their great productivity, flexibility, and hardware and software quality. According to DataMaster, Konica Minolta offers the fastest MFP document feeder ever tested in their laboratory, with a speed of 222 ipm for scanning double-sided originals. It was also appreciated that multitasking, such as performing RIPping, scanning and even OCR simultaneously, has little to no impact on productivity.
Another convincing feature was the customisable and responsive tablet-like feel of the interface. The modifications to the layout which Konica Minolta implemented last year also improved product usability further. DataMaster stated that the improved usability is especially helpful for inexperienced users.
Konica Minolta’s strong commitment to the environment and to being a leader in sustainability was equally honoured. DataMaster observed that Konica Minolta products run “quietly compared to many of their competitors, and have a low environmental footprint”. This claim is also backed by numerous certifications from, for example, Energy Star, Blue Angel and Epeat Gold.
About DataMaster Labs
DataMaster Labs is an indented test lab with a focus on office and production toner-technology, hard copy output machines as well as software solutions from the office and production marketplaces. With regard to their software, all products are tested in six different categories: productivity, quality, usability, flexibility, functions and environmental aspects. It is exceedingly rare to receive a 5/5 star rating. For this, the product tested must demonstrate an excellent performance and cannot have any major weakness in any of the evaluation criteria.
