| 17 juni 2019

Konica Minolta today has announced a new partnership with Plockmatic Group to sell the PowerSquare 160 booklet making system as it continues to accelerate growth opportunities to meet the needs of mid to high volume customers within the commercial print markets.

The addition of the Plockmatic PowerSquare 160 adds to Konica Minolta’s booklet maker finishing portfolio – now totaling six systems – and will be used in conjunction with the MK-737 interface for the AccurioPress C6100 series of high-volume cut-sheet toner printers to deliver business efficiency and value improvement to high-end professional users.

The Plockmatic PowerSquare 160 is used to serve the growing requirement for digitally-printed products. These include fashion magazines, menus, product manuals, corporate brochures, customised catalogues, promotional materials and the increasingly popular A4 landscape book format, as well as for print banner or long-sheet work. Mid to High-volume printers are key target customers.

Plockmatic Group, based Sweden, has been a partner of Konica Minolta since 2016 when the SD-500 was successfully introduced to its customers. The new Plockmatic PowerSquare 160 can produce three-side trimmed square-folded landscape A4 or 8.5x11 inch booklets in addition to standard formats such as A4, A5 booklets that can all be customized. It is an integrated system that staple-folds forms and trims in a single unit, with front trimming standard and two-sided trimming an optional feature.

When a two-side trimmer is included, the system can produce books down to 200x105mm in online mode and A6 in hand-feed mode. The Plockmatic PowerSquare 160 also benefits from a unique paper transport system giving precise control and accuracy, and the control system includes remote diagnostics for preventive maintenance. Support and service will be provided by Konica Minolta within its own distribution channels.
