Konica Minolta and Konando to help strengthen consumer brand links

Marketing services provider Konando Printing Company Limited and Konica Minolta Japan have become strategic partners, with the two companies announcing plans for a customer showroom in Kobe City to help strengthen consumer brand relationships.


With the dedicated support of national equipment dealer Motoya Co., the new digital production factory, which will be known as “KONANDO Lab”, will help major corporate brands in developing new applications for their customer bases in addition to developing effective new print communications and product marketing strategies. It will be Konica Minolta Japan’s showroom in the west Japan.

The announcement follows Konando’s investment in a Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 sheetfed duplex B2 UV inkjet machine, using UV-cured inks, and an MGI JETvarnish 3D system, which take digital spot UV coating to another dimension. Features include increased throughput for flat spot UV jobs and amazing 3D raised effects.

Jointly developed by Konica Minolta and Konando, the lab will be a dedicated technology centre for testing and researching the power of digital solutions to benefit the Japanese printing and packaging industries. The goal is to help print buyers strengthen their consumer brand relationship by “Bringing Print to Life” by combining the digital creative power of Konica Minolta and MGI inkjet technology.
